Name

edit

Solanum alternatopinnatum Steud. (1841:600, "alternato-pinnatum"), nom. nov. pro S. oleraceum Vell.

  • Lectotype: "Solanum oleraceum", Fl. Flumin. Icon. 2:pl. 125. 1831.
    • Designated by Matesevach Becerra (2013). Knapp & al. (2015:832) supercedes this lectotypification and designate instead the original plate held in the Manuscript Section of the Biblioteca Nacional, Rio de Janeiro, cat. no.: mss1198651_128. However, it does not appear self-evident that the plates as published in Florae Fluminensis Icones do not qualify as "original material".
  • Type locality: Brasil: Rio de Janeiro.
